We are 5! Five years and going strong. Rediscovering Boracay with fiance and bassist/spokenword artist, Miko Pepito. Here was where it all started 5 years ago. This time, not for music, not for a project, but for a 3day 2night vacation. Hunting for vegetarian food and just a good spot to hangout and watch time go by.
Landing in Boracay, Aklan
Inside our “suite” at La Carmela Hotel. Not so luxurious but it was all that we needed. It was safe and a good place to sleep in at the end of the day. Inside the room amenities: Own toilet and bath, complimentary toiletries, towels, and TV.
Most of the time we ate at Hey Jude, Station 2. They had a lot of vegetarian choices in their menu such as Margarita Pizza, Vegetarian Pizza, Pesto Pasta, and Tomato-based Pasta. Very friendly staff and a great spot to do people-watching. I mean, what else is really there to do in Boracay, right? Lol!
There’s my margarita pizza partnered with my all time favorite mango shake.
Inside Hey Jude Cafe
Bumped into singer-songwriter and good friend Meagan Aguilar.
That’s what I’m saying… people-watching right there!
ATM everywhere. Boracay is fast becoming a modern Island.
Some shops in Boracay that I’m not really very happy about. Most of their products are overpriced and most of them sell stuff that are made in China. Not so much local love here (sad face).
Men! What’s Starbucks doing here?! Commerce commerce commerce!
I did appreciate the fire dancing at night. Those artists or athletes are just awesome!
They’re right there! Cool!
Alone time
Camping by the beach
That’s vacation right there.
Our Boracay experience wouldn’t be complete without this cheesy photo. Lol!
Night market
La Carmela, 2nd Station
Fruit shake stalls everywhere! So cheap too!
At Station 2, they have the D*Talipapa to compete with D*Mall! That’s funny!
